1. Overview and Core Privacy Principle
At GulfCalc (gulfcalc.tech), accessible from https://gulfcalc.tech, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document details the types of information that are collected and recorded by GulfCalc and how we use it, in strict alignment with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and regional data protection laws across the GCC (including Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law [PDPL] and the UAE's Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection).
2. Zero Collection of Financial Data (Client-Side Isolation)
Unlike web services that process financial inputs on remote application servers, GulfCalc does not collect, transmit, store, or profile your financial data.
Every numerical figure you input into our calculation engines (including your basic salary, housing allowance, transport allowance, years of service, profit figures, and remittance amounts) is held temporarily in volatile memory within your web browser's local sandbox environment. The calculations run through native JavaScript on your device. Once you close or refresh your browser tab, all entered data ceases to exist.
3. Standard Web Server Log Files
Like most static web properties delivered through edge delivery networks (such as Cloudflare Pages), GulfCalc follows a standard procedure of utilizing server log files. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any personally identifiable information (PII) and are utilized solely for diagnosing network anomalies, defending against DDoS attacks, and ensuring platform reliability.
4. Cookies and Advertising Partners (Google AdSense & DoubleClick)
GulfCalc may partner with third-party advertising vendors, including Google LLC, to display contextual advertisements:
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (google.com/settings/ads) or through consumer choice portals such as aboutads.info.
5. GDPR Data Protection Rights
We ensure that you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the right to access, rectification, erasure, restrict processing, and data portability. Because GulfCalc does not store user accounts or personal profiles, we hold zero user-specific data to disclose or delete.
6. CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)
Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers have the right to request that a business disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data collected, and request that a business delete any personal data. GulfCalc does not sell any personal consumer information.
